Adolescent Psychiatric Services

Adolescent Psychiatric Services at UCSF Health St. Mary's Hospital treats adolescents whose emotional problems are impacting their safety and functioning. We provide high quality, well-coordinated mental health services in a safe, consistent, therapeutic environment.

We offer two programs:

  • McAuley Adolescent Inpatient Unit, a short-term acute inpatient crisis unit
  • McAuley Counseling Enriched Education Program, an outpatient educational and therapeutic program run in conjunction with the San Francisco Unified School District and the San Francisco Department of Public Health-Behavioral Health Services

Through our individual, group, and family services, we work to create an atmosphere that nurtures healing, growth, and hope. Our objective is to help the adolescent identify a pathway to a healthy future.

We are dedicated to providing the best care possible to all adolescents and their families, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are deeply grateful to the many donors who have assisted us with this mission. Gifts for our programs can be made through the Giving to UCSF website.
