The Center for Sports Medicine is based on the concept of convenient and patient-focused medical care. All of our patients have access to a multidisciplinary team of experts to assess and treat activity-related injuries incurred by both professional athletes and physically active individuals.
Diagnostic Services
Because the Center for Sports Medicine is hospital based, patients have quick access to a broad range of diagnostic services.
- Laboratory testing
- Nuclear medicine (i)sotope scanning
- Radiology services, including X-ray, CT scans and MRI scans (many times performed on appointment day)
Orthopedic and Arthroscopic Surgery
For injuries requiring surgery, we offer the latest surgical procedures, performed by board certified orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists who are experts in the field of sports medicine. Most surgical interventions are performed as outpatient procedures.
- Arthroscopies on all major joints, joint replacements, bunionectomies and neuroma excisions
- Autologous (derived from the patient) cartilage transplant
- Joint reconstructive surgery
- Minimally invasive joint replacement surgery
- Robotic-assisted partial knee replacement surgery
Podiatry Services
With a staff of board certified podiatrists, the Center for Sports Medicine is able to care for foot and ankle problems for people of all ages.

- Gait analysis and sport techniques analysis to diagnose the cause of an injury and correct abnormal patterns that may contribute to injuries

Physical Therapy
Aggressive specialized treatments provided by highly-trained certified experienced therapists emphasize returning patients rapidly and safely to their previous activities. Injuries are treated with a variety of activities and approaches.

Pilates/Dance Medicine
Dance medicine offers kinetic activities and conditioning using apparatus based on Pilates. Originally, Pilates was developed for athletes and performing artists such as dancers, actors, musicians and acrobats, but now dance medicine and Pilates conditioning is enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Dance medicine serves a wide variety of individuals desiring an individualized Pilates experience.
