Acute Rehabilitation Center
At UCSF Health Saint Francis Hospital, private rooms help facilitate healing, patients receive individualized care from a dedicated rehabilitation team, and free Wi-Fi access helps patients stay connected to family and friends. We're also CARF-accredited so we meet the rigorous national and international standards of quality patient care established by the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In fact, our facility is Medicare-certified for Adult Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation and Adult Inpatient Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation.
CARF Accreditation
Saint Francis has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which means we meet national and international standards of quality patient care. Our accreditation applies to both our inpatient rehabilitation program and our stroke specialty program. To receive this prestigious accreditation, Saint Francis was required to undergo a rigorous peer review process, demonstrating to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that our programs and services are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
The acute rehabilitation program and acute stroke rehabilitation program both include caregiver training and education as a bridge to helping you return to your community.
