St. Mary's is accessible by Muni bus lines 5 Fulton, 21 Hayes, and 33 Ashbury/18th Street. The nearest Muni Metro stop is at Carl and Stanyan streets, about half a mile from the hospital – from there you can transfer to the 33 Stanyan bus.

For those arriving by car, there are two hospital parking lots, open around-the-clock. Parking costs $6 for two hours. Street parking is free but limited and has a strictly enforced two-hour time limit.
